Surreal
May be the time will come sooner,
But I know you’re here today,
The smile drains from you,
Wish that I could tell you,
Your memories of me will grow thinner someday.
(Know you’ll still be around)
So I capture the moments,
And I’ll leave the door open,
Tomorrow that I may walk in,
Hoping to recognize you,
Frames of a dear memory,
They cry out for no one.
(Know one of us should,
But I wouldn’t be the one,
To leave you broken,
So I wait,
To watch you turn Surreal.)
